Volunteer
Volunteer to Teach English - While we have volunteer teachers coming to the school to work with our children in the youth program, the volunteers don't tend to stay for more than a few weeks or months and this is extremely disruptive to the children's learning. If you are interested in becoming apart of our unique team here to teach English, we require you to stay for at least 6 months. This is so that the children get to know you and your teaching methodology, giving them a better opportunity to absorb and immerse themselves into their learning, rather that their classes being constantly disrupted by new teachers.
Volunteer - We don't often need volunteers for our Spanish School however, we are open to hear proposals if you can think of a way you would like to help. For example, you may be a drama teacher, skilled tradesperson or writer and may wish to give the children workshops.

I am a student in computer science engineering. Actually, I am doing a four months volunteership at Amigos as Webmaster. I don't have so much experience in the web field, but I am doing my best. I hope you will enjoy the new website :)
The team here really is a big family and makes you feel happy to come to work everyday. They are doing a great work, and I am happy to contribute, as little is my contribution.

Teaching English to Cusco’s local people was a rewarding experience. On a professional level I learnt a great deal and the students were super dedicated to their studies… well, most of them. Not all students arrive punctually and some stopped coming at all. This was difficult to understand specially when in previous weeks the same student seemed to be making huge progressing. However, one can’t prioritize someone’s live for them and it’s hard to know what motivates people.
On occasion I have refereed football matches between English language groups at the park on Saturdays, and this was great fun and a great way for us all to interact and get to know each other out of the classroom.
A very special program with great potential!!!
