How to help us
The Amigos Foundation and Amigos Spanish School are always in need of support. We rely on the generous gifts of our friends, who believe in us, in order to grow. Without the assistance we receive from our volunteers, Spanish students and donors, we would never have been able to make these programs such a success.
If you would like to become a part of helping the Amigos Foundation and Amigos programming to thrive, below is a list of ways you can help.
The Amigos Foundation
- Financial Assistance- Any donation or monetary contribution will help to support our future efforts in giving education to underprivileged youth in Cusco. These donations help us to afford more classroom materials, as well as prepare for the much needed expansion of our facilities.
- Volunteer to Teach English- English volunteers are paid very little, but their efforts are invaluable. Without their day-to-day creativity and tenacity, our program would fail. However, our volunteers are always on a temporary basis, and we are always in need of someone who can come to Cusco and commit to a number of months.
- Donate School Supplies- While we have many books and school supplies for our youth program, we are constantly in need of new pens, pencils, paper, and notebooks to provide for our kids. Also, we are severely lacking in beginner level English books for our kids to practice reading.
Amigos Spanish School
- Spread the Word- The best way to help our school is to spread the word by referring students and travellers who come to Cusco to take classes with us. The more students we recruit the better we are able to fund our programs and all future projects.
- Volunteer- We don't often need volunteers for our Spanish School however, we are open to hear proposals if you can think of a way you would like to help. For example, you may be a drama teacher, skilled tradesperson or writer and may wish to give the children workshops.
