Following is a summary of the prices for all non-free activities that Amigos Spanish school currently offers. All prices are in United States dollars unless indicated otherwise. Available discounts are only those listed on this page, as applicable.

Spanish lessons and family stay

Prices for intensive Spanish (for most students) and survival Spanish (for short-term students with no prior Spanish skill), as well as family stay:

1 week of group Spanish lessons $120

Details:

  • 20 hours total (4 hours per day, consisting of 2 hours grammar and 2 hours conversation)
  • 5 days total (Monday thru Friday)
  • Max 4 persons per group
  • Discount of 5% applies for 3 or more weeks of lessons
  • Discount of 8% applies for 8 or more weeks of lessons
  • Placement test given on the first day of classes or by e-mail.
  • If there is only one student at a certain level for the group classes, this student will receive 3 hours of individual lessons instead
  • Additional individual Spanish lessons: $10 per hour
  • Amigos Price Guide always multiplies the USD with no less than 3 Nuevos Soles for one American dollar.
  • Group lessons begin every Monday
  
1 week of family stay $140

Details:

  • 7 day / 7 night stay
  • Full board, including private bedroom
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner each day
  • Laundry once a week
  • Pickup from the airport or bus station
  • Located in less-touristy areas throughout Cusco (generally not right in the city center), but within walking or public-transport distance of Amigos Spanish school
  • Additional nights at $20 per night
  
1 week of lessons AND family stay $255

Details:

  • Everything in the above two packages, for one special price
  • The discounts for 3+ or for 8+ weeks of Spanish lessons apply in this package, but only to the cost of the lessons
  • We also offer a 10% discount to members of South American Explorers’ Club
  

Note: We understand that your plans may change during your travels, but once you send in your application form, we will commit to your reservation of your family stay and/or Spanish lessons. Both Spanish lessons and family stay have limited capacity during the high season from April to September. Therefore, during this period we require at least one month's notice for a change in family stay and/or Spanish lessons. After one month but with more than one week's notice, we will require 25% of the total to be paid. With less than one week's notice we will require that 50% be paid.

Medical Spanish

1 hour of Medical Spanish lessons either individual or in a group of up to 4 students $10

Details:

  • Lessons include medical vocabulary and phrases along with exercises and grammar designed to put this new vocabulary into practice.
  • Lessons can be arranged for one or more hours a day as an extra to normal Spanish classes, or alternatively can replace normal Spanish classes for 4 hours a day
 

Quechua lessons

1 hour of Quechua lessons either individual or in a group of up to 4 students $10

Details:

  • Lessons are with a native Quechua speaker who is also a qualified teacher
  • Lessons can be arranged for 1 hour a day or more if you require
  

Extracurricular activities

Every week we have a program of activities

  • Peruvian cooking class – a chef will guide you through the preparation of a traditional dish which the class then eats or lunch or dinner depending on the time of the class
  • Salsa dancing class – a qualified salsa teacher with teach you the basic steps and how to dance with a partner, or more advanced steps if you already know the basics
  • Real City Tour – a unique opportunity to see the parts of the city where our English students come from. The 3 hour tour includes a visit to a public school, a ‘chichería’, the house of one of our ex-students, the place where ‘adobe’ mud bricks are made and a local market.

The price of the activities depends on how many students are participating as it is merely the costs divided by the number of people; we make no profit from them. They are all therefore very affordable.

We can also organize Andean weaving lessons:

1 hour of group or individual weaving lessons $10

Details:

  • Includes the cost of the materials
  • Lessons are with professional weaver from the community of Chinchero
  • Min 3 persons per group
  

Lima hotel stay and airport pick-up

For students coming straight from their home country to their family stay in Cusco, via Lima, we can arrange for a hotel stay and for an airport pick-up during your transit in Lima, and for transport to your family stay in Cusco. Prices for hotel stay and for airport pick-up:

1 night stay in a hotel in the centre of Lima $38

Details:

  • Comfortable hotel, convenient location, private bathroom
  • Breakfast included
  
1 night stay in a hotel near Lima airport $30

Details:

  • Comfortable hostel, very close to the airport, private bathroom
  • Breakfast included (unless you are leaving on a very early flight)
  
Lima airport pick-up service (hotel in the centre) $40

Includes:

  • Transport from Lima airport to the hotel near the centre of Lima
  • For two people arriving and leaving on the same flight a discount of $10 per person applies
 
Lima airport pick-up service (hotel near the airport) $20

Includes:

  • Transport from Lima airport to the hotel near the airport
  • For two people arriving and leaving on the same flight a discount of $5 per person applies
